The historic township of
Willunga is situated approximately 7 km south of McLaren Vale, where
each Saturday a local market is a popular destination for those
seeking to taste and purchase locally produced food and produce.
Willunga also boasts 3 hotels, 3 restaurants, a bakery, a small
library, and a fine display of architecture (circa 1840’s)
in and around the heart of the township.
The major retail shopping
and business centre for the area is located approximately 20 mins
drive via McLaren Vale at Noarlunga Center featuring most of the
larger retail stores, large library, local government offices, and
hospital with an accident and emergency facility. Adjacent to the
center, is the Noarlunga transport interchange, where buses and
trains will link you to the rest of greater Adelaide, a further
3 mins walk will have you watching the latest movie release at the
Wallis Theatre Complex, of course all of the usual fast food outlets
are situated nearby.
McLaren vale is the gateway
to the wonderful Fleurieu Peninsular and beyond to Kangaroo Island,
and features over 50 wineries and cellar door outlets, is close
to wonderful swimming and surfing beaches, Maslins nudist beach
(the first legalised in Australia), the Onkaparinga Gorge Conservation
Park walking trails, the famous Heysen Trail, rugged costal scenery,
Starfish Hill wind farm, and picturesque drives. So why not call
